CS 1.6 STALKER is a Counter-Strike 1.6 build themed after the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. It keeps the standard CS 1.6 gameplay (bomb defusal, hostage rescue, classic maps) and reskins the interface, weapons and atmosphere to match the Zone.
STALKER-themed menu and interface
The menu and UI are redrawn in the STALKER style - desolate landscapes, ruined buildings and a heavy, post-Soviet mood. Buttons and windows replace the standard CS 1.6 interface.
Weapon skins in the STALKER style
Default CS 1.6 weapons are replaced with gritty, weathered skins that fit the setting. The changes are visual only and don't affect weapon stats or mechanics.
- AK-47 - a worn, Zone-issued rifle with detailed weathering.
- M4A1 - industrial camo with a makeshift suppressor.
- AWP - a modified sniper rifle with radiation markings.
- Desert Eagle - rust textures and hazard symbols.
- Knife - a survival blade with chipped steel.
Installation and compatibility
CS 1.6 STALKER runs on modern systems without emulators or extra files. It's a clean install that doesn't overwrite your base game and works with the usual servers and mods.
A lighter alternative
If you want something simpler, take a look at the CS 1.6 Lite build - a minimal version for low-end PCs and quick installation, without the extra textures and mods.
The build supports all system languages, including nicknames and chat. It's a way to replay familiar CS 1.6 maps with the look and atmosphere of the Zone.
