CS 1.6 Minecraft is a Counter-Strike 1.6 build that swaps the usual look for a blocky, Minecraft-style theme. Player models, weapons, maps and the menu are redrawn in pixel art, while the core CS 1.6 gameplay stays the same. The build is free to download.
What's changed in the build
The theme runs through the whole game, from the menu to the weapons in your hands:
Character models
Both teams use blocky, pixelated player models in the style of Minecraft characters, so each side is easy to tell apart on the map.
Weapons
The weapons are reskinned to match: the default knife becomes a pickaxe, and grenades look like blocky orbs. The mechanics are untouched. If you like this kind of crossover, take a look at the CS 1.6 Fortnite build too.
Maps and servers
Standard arenas are retextured with block surfaces like grass and stone, and there are dedicated maps built fully in the Minecraft style. You can connect to plenty of multiplayer servers, many with their own layouts.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Character models | Pixelated models in the Minecraft style. |
| Weapons | Knife as a pickaxe, grenades as blocky orbs. |
| Maps | Retextured arenas with block surfaces. |
| Servers | Many multiplayer servers with varied layouts. |
| Menu | Block-themed menu with matching music. |
CS 1.6 Minecraft keeps the tactical gameplay of the original and adds a Minecraft coat of paint on top. It runs on the same low system requirements as regular CS 1.6, so it works on weak PCs too.
