CS 1.6 Ancient Edition is a Counter-Strike 1.6 build inspired by the release of CS2, with CS2-style weapon skins, a dark menu and red-and-blue player models.

CS2-inspired look

The main menu uses the CZ75-Auto skin from CS2 on its background, and the interface is reworked from the classic green windows into dark, semi-transparent menus that are easier on the eyes in low light.

Weapon skins

The build adds weapon skins modeled on their CS2 versions, including the AK-47, M4A1, AWP and Desert Eagle. The standard knife is replaced with the Karambit, and the pack adds a few weapons that aren't in classic CS 1.6.

Player models and gameplay

Terrorists use red models and Counter-Terrorists use blue, which makes teams easy to tell apart. These models may not be allowed on every server, so check the server rules before competitive matches. The core gameplay - maps, weapon balance and mechanics - stays the same.
